Martin Samuelsson
I wonder how many Sheffield United fans realised that the scorer of Peterborough United's 84th minute winner at Bramall Lane today was a West Ham player who looks like he should still be at school.

Haha!

Look at the technique on this:

Looked very good in pre season for us also.

Re: Martin Samuelsson
A silver lining to us achieving nothing this season (if that happens) is that our odds for next season will be the usual long ones... the bookies don't seem to be able to take us seriously and I think they will rue the day shortly!!

Nothing will. What I like is that a top team coming together and the stadium move is happening at the same time.

Collyrob.
I agree, the best player I've had the pleasure of watching at West ham was the great Alan Devonshire I dought he weighed anymore than 11 stone.Attacking players don't necessarily have to be lumps.

Re: Martin Samuelsson
Yes PD... keep what we have and add a couple of really quality signings (quality not quantity now!) and we will be there... I'm starting to get quite excited ( I wonder what will fuck it up?)

Ludo - Yep, things are looking good. Next summer we should also see a MARQUEE striker and a top notch RB come in, Cresswell should get better too. Klopp should have joined us instead :-)

Re: Martin Samuelsson
Samuelssen is over 6ft and only 19 and a young 19 at that.... he will bulk up a bit over the next couple of years.

The footage of him when he was younger (10-13) is exceptional and judging by the recent performances he is going to be quite something.., if we hang onto him, Lanzini and Payet then we will have just about the most exciting creative midfield on the planet in a couple of years time.

Arguably players such as Adrian, Reid and Tomkins should be reaching their prime and we have major talents in Oxford and Burke to come through....... our time has come!!

Re: Martin Samuelsson
It's more that players need to toughen rather than bulk up. Some reasonably sized players have got a pussy inside ( Downing comes to mind ) and some players of smaller size can be tigers ( Billy Bremner back in the day for example).

Re: Martin Samuelsson
So we can add Samuelson to the list with coutinho silva modric and lanzini, as players who need to bulk up because they won't be able to handle the physicality of the premiership.

Re: Martin Samuelsson
Agreed. The lower leagues are much more physical than the PL.

I remember reading the same load of bollocks about Lanzini.

Regardless of the fact it is complete bollocks, he'll be getting much rougher treatment in the 3rd tier. The lad has got it, his build won't matter a jot.

Nwankwo Kanu, OON (born 1 August 1976), or simply Kanu, is a retired Nigerian footballer who played as a striker. He was a member of and later captained the Nigerian national team for 16 years from 1994 until 2010. Kanu is a member of the Igbo ethnic group; his name, Nwankwo, means Child born on Nkwo market day in the Igbo language.

Re: Martin Samuelsson
He looks like he needs a few Weetabix down his neck as he's well scrawny. He'd get bullied right now in the PL. Maybe a few years from now.

He's looking a class act already, high hopes for him I think we could have a very special player on our hands.
